Tahoe double din installation problem

It's a 2000 Tahoe and the double din won't fit. There's a thick metal bracket in the way. I've heard people talking about bending it back or cutting it, but they never went into detail on how they did it or what they used. Does anyone know how to bend or cut it? It looks like a very thick metal or steel bracket that is hard to move. It's the only thing holding up my install!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

I used and mini air saw on my 07 tahoe. I just cut out just enough to give the wiring harness enough clearence so my double din would seat properly in place. If you don't have access to an air saw, your best bet might be a dremel to grind and cut til it fits

those are the most worthless links i have ever seen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/read.gif.ff512c499c00ed3faae9a20f4b088b29.gif that was not his question ???

/dude just cut it out that's what i do on all Chevy/Gmc dashes
