T-line with external port?

I was researching T-lines and was wondering if instead of a folded internal port, could you have an external transmission port from the box, ie: I have a SUV , could I put the box in the back and run a port up to, and across the roof. like if it calls for a 96" port could i go up 2' and along the roof 6' ending behind the front seats? I know everything would have to be secured. How would it sound?

The point of a tline is that its just port its not an enclosure per say. What your thinking is a ported box with an external port. And people do it all the time
