system went from loud to eh?

ok i got 2 15in. l7's on a hifonics 2006d at 1 ohm. Its all in my trailblazer and it was pretty loud for me at first. It did physically hurt my ears but i didnt play it that loud at extended periods of time. Now it just doesnt seem as loud, even my girl who hates it and hear it a couple times full blast at first when i put it in thought it was loud and she agrees that its just not how it was at first.

What do you think it could be? at first i thought it was just me but my girl agrees and now its like wtf?

enclosure is fine, checked the wiring on the subs and thats fine, rca's are fine.

I dunno what else to do

It could be two things-

1 - Were the subs brand new when you first heard them in this box? If they were, they hadn't been broken in yet and the higher notes may have been overwhelming for you but since it's broken in, it'll tend to drop it's Fs a few Hz which will\may affect it's output based upon how you have it tuned.

2 - One of the coils has shorted out. Get a DMM and check to make sure all coils read the same.

ill check out the coils tomorrow, like i think it might just be me though. because my back doors and roof still flex like hell.

i think i can crank it a lilll more without clipping it to shit. if not then yea time to step up the amp
