so i got my new sub yesterday. im going from 1 10" perfect to 2 in a ported box.

i upgraded my amp about 3 weeks ago. its a viper 1200.1.

heres a pic im gonna try to get more ive got to find some good bateries.

thanks guys. it sounds great. but on my way home from lunch the amp just went into protection mode. this happended about 2 weeks ago. i hope its just the texas heat.

Looking at the back of your car it looks to be the late 90s model camry ( previous body style camry). If thats correct, then you should mount the amp on the back of the seat, and fold the seat down to let the cool air in the car hit it.

its a 2000 i was gonna get a couple of fans tomorrow. if i mount it on the back of the seat do i just screw it to the back or do i have to use wood to mount it??

yea before i got the sub in yesterday all i had was 1 i.p 10.1 in a .60 sealed enclosure. its like a 100 times louder now. although the bass can seem a little sloppy at times. i guess thats what you get with a ported enclosure.

all in all im very satisfied i cant even turn it up to the volume i set my gains with cause its shaking the **** outta my trunk. ive got a dynamat trunk kit installed aswell.

now if i can keep the amp from going into protection mode in the dallas heat ill be set.
