System setup help?

hey

im currently building up the system in my car.. nothing too crazy or over the top.. just enough bass to keep me going tongue.gif

i already have a kicker 12" sub and amp combo (DS+DX) and i also have a DUB 550W 2 channel amp..

i need help on deciding what to do with the rest of my system.. as in what to run off the amp, what other speakers i should get etc.. im not looking to spending much more.. anyone have any ideas?

i was thinking a set of decent 6x9's to run off the amp as then i would get more bass and enough trebble to match it?

i was also trying to keep in mind the ability to be able to remove the system and installing the original when selling the car.. the car is stock with 6" at the rear and 5 1/4" at the front i think..

also i have a sony head unit that runs around 54w or something to each speaker..

if anyone could help me it will be greatly appreciated!

why is this all in bold? is that needed? also your sony does not put anywhere near 54watts to each speaker.. don't care what model it is.. i guarantee you its not.. 17-22 is h/u

Upgrade the OEM speakers with a same size replacement, run them off the head unit. I say this because 6x9s dont seem logical when you have nowhere to mount them. Install them amp/sub enclosure as a unit so you can easily unwire it later.

so do you recommend just getting another sub to go with the unused amp i have?
