system opinions eclipse ti's sundown amps

im stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. to my disposal i have 3 12" eclipse ti's and 2 sundown saz1500d's. my car is a 2002 honda accord coupe, decent sized trunk. within the next two weeks im going to have a ported box made but i dont know which would perform better with the space im given:

2 eclipse ti's w/ 1 sundown saz1500d @ 1 ohm

or

3 eclipse ti's w/ 2 sundown saz1500 strapped @~2.6 ohms

the only thing im worried about is how the 3 subs with react stuffed into a trunk, would i be better off sticking to just the two?

You'd be better off just running the 2 in the proper enclosure

Yea 2 in the proper enclosure, this is my Caddy with 2 12" Eclipse TIs off a single sundown 1500, like a year ago. 2 with the proper enclosure. I bought two sw9122s used and the box was a little small for them, I had a 3db gain when i built a bigger box (still daily driving set up). plus you should have no problem seeing your 3rd, or keep it as a spare. pics and vids when youre done!

thanks for the quick response guys, two it is. i just wish these subs would be able to handle the two amps strapped, bummer

btw: from your experience what box would work out best?

i was thinking somehwere between 3.3-3.5 c/ft @ 32-34hz? im basically looking for a good daily sql setup

I liked my old eclipse TI's (15's) tuned to 34.

But they wanted more than a 1500d could give the pair. I'd look for something more like 2-2.5kw @ 1 ohm.

Good luck with the build. They get loud, but they are power hogs.

i would love to give them both amps strapped @ 1 ohm which would put out somehwere in the 3.5k+ watt area, but idk thats really pushing it.

just out of curiousity what size box and tuning did were they in? i like your numbers, i hope i can hit that with my setup

yeah thats probably what i will be doing. i just hope there will be a noticeable difference from my pair of eclipse aluminums im running right now (prefab sealed 1.25c/ft each. )

im setting up an order with fishercustoms so we'll see results in a week or two.

I cant wait to get these guys up!
