Hey I am going back to college in just a few weeks and unfortuanly will not be able to bring my car the first semester. I want to take some of my subs and put them under my futon in the dorm room. Last year I did this but ran them off of my HT amp and they were getting like 100watts or so. Is there a way I could run them off of my car amp and then just hook the RCAs from the HT to it? Or any other way out there to get them more power I want the building to shake when I play them. btw I would probobly be using my 2 12" type rs, not like it makes a huge difference. Thanks

I have a Klipsch 5.1 system with a dual 8" sub that shook my whole room last year. Everytime the RA from above us would come down and ***** id be like I hear it to it's not me! Then shed go knock on my neighbor's door. She was a *****.

But anyways, my friend is movin up next semester as well, he took his two 15" Memphis M-Class subs and have them running at 4ohms off a 500watt plate amp. They pound so hard, I can't wait to see the chaos he creates next year with them. I think he picked up the plate amp for like 180 bucks.

If you're in a dorm with an RA good luck with that lol. I'm an RA this year, and I don't care really if someone is playing loud music, but I haven't heard any building shaking systems lol. I'm sure you won't be able to blast it all the time =P. Plus, dont be one of those kids who keeps his door open blasting music all day it's pretty annoying to people who actually have work ha =P. You should post a vid up if this happens to see people's reactions :p

I just hid my klipsch sub under my bed, and the satelittes werent that big so they were inconspicuous (sp?), she was so puzzled she would have no idea where it was coming from lol

i had my mag in my 2.5ft^3 sealed box with about 300 watts going to it and was only able to keep it hooked up for a couple hours before my roommates ****ed with it and sent some of the neighbors dishes off the counter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

My RA doesnt care as long as its before quiet hours and I dont really want it for having my door open to get the attention last year we mainly used it for video games like gears of war. Just a good deep boom here and there. Where could I find a plate amp at or is anyone selling any used? seems like my best bet and alot cheaper then buyin a batt and charger.

My ghetto as hell system dominates the floor. And to answer your question, yes...there is another set of components on the other side of the room //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I have two tempest 15" that get so loud, I can make a popcorn bag dance on my coffee table and in my kitchen. I also vibrated a florescent tube out of it's socket from my neighbors kitchen ceiling.
