System in 08' Silverado

I have a brand new ext. cab chevy and i'd like something to give me a little bass. The stock system is great so i don't want to replace the deck or speakers. what is the best way to get some budget "low" quality bass? I'm scared to tear in to my brand new truck and i definitely don't want anyone else to do it.

that would be a lot of trouble and i wouldn't want to do anything to hurt the value of my truck. that is a cool idea, but i have an extended cab so i have room for what i'm looking for.

I installed an Infinity Basslink in my friend's Silverado. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the outcome. It complemented the stock speakers very nicely and really filled out the bottom end. We just ran an 8ga (plenty for this) power wire down the driver's side (there is a factory wire loom that runs into the cab from the engine bay right abovet he driver's knee) and tapped into the factory speaker harness behind the dash. The unit was mounted under the passenger side seat in the extended cab portion.

I've seen a plethra of hidden enclosures for extended cab trucks. I think JL makes these stealth boxes that you generally can't even see. You'll want sub volume control, google PAC LC-1. I think if you google PAC OEM-2 you will find the product you need to interface your stock deck with the aftermarket equipment. You'll need some RCA cables also. I find that most of the trucks I've owned have ended up with a sealed enclosure. More-or-less because of the space issues.

The Basslink is nice because everything that you need to wire it up except power wire and fuse comes with it. It has a built in line convertor and a signal sensing remote turn on.

The Stealthboxes are nice but cost huge money and you still need an amp and wiring and all the rest.

What model was his truck? Was it pretty easy to get into the dash and do the hookups. I want a system, but I'm just worried I'll mess up something. That sounds like a good option though as the cost is pretty low and I don't have to worry about replacing the speakers
