Not my first post but close enough... I have an 01' Dakota Quad cab now after selling my 350z //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif , but its alot cheaper and makes for a better daily with the back seat and storage space. Well since I won't be spending money on 'go fast' goodies, I want to have a nice system for the truck.
I already have an alpine 9835 with a ipod adapter for the HU but everything else is stock. I listen to alternative and rock almost exclusively and care more about SQ over SPL. Don't really car much about big bass, just nice tight bass.
I want to start with the front stage, and there isn't much room to do kick panels so I'm looking at these 6.5 2 way passive for the doors. Also would do appropriate sound deadening in the doors.

Not sure what amp yet, but something around 150/channel. I've been looking at memphis and us amps at the moment.
For the sub I'm kinda limited, the only option I have come up with is to build a custom center console for the front, and running a sealed 8". Can't go any larger than an 8" because of the width, and I don't want to loose the back seats. I'm thinking an RLi-8 with a JL 500/1 amp...

Open to suggestions on everything since I've been out of the car audio stuff for a few years. Looking at maybe $1k in total, with me doing the install.
