system for girlfriend... any advice?

Well my girlfriend want to "upgrade" her car. Want new audio, rims/tires, paint job, and window tint. I do not know what all she is honestly getting done, that is just want she said she wanted to do. I am the audio installer/picker outer of the system.

I went with this. .... you guys can show me something of a cheaper price with better quality please tell me. If you guys have any comments, questions, or advice please tell me.

CD player $145 I like this one because the 4volt pre-outs and ipod connector. also comes with the dash kit and wiring harness for free!

6.5" coaxils $85 she will run these and some kenwood coaxils off of HU power

10" sub $77

Amplifier $104

pretty much a low budget system that will sound noticable better than stock. Look good? I think i will build her a sealed box along with an amp rack. Might have to go with a glossy pink paint on both...

I had a cheap Jensen amp, all they need is 300watts for the pair.

wow man what a price. It says 200w power handleing power. Is that the RMS? How do they sound? good SQ? do they get loud at all?

Great SQ and they do get a bit loud, dont expect them to rattle the car or anything. I have them sealed in 3cf and 300watts to the pair. Im actually gonna get rid of them, I saw them, tired them, liked them, now something else...

if you get 2 single 2ohm subs and have seperate speaker wire runs and just connect the to the amp on the same channel will that be considered a 4ohm load? Someone told me that once and i didnt think you could wire single vc subs together like that

Single 2ohm in series would make a 4ohm load. You can run them on one channel or the amp bridged like me...

ok i think i will get a 2ch and bridge it with hopefully 400rms@4ohm. and i will do 3cuft sealed most likely. I hope she likes them. I actually might buy them for her.

i think i will wind up getting her the wiring kit, 2 12" ED's, build the box, and use my cali profile 400sx bridged... its respose to do 300rms . I will wind up spending about $50.
