System Build Advice

I am new here and have decided to get a system in my 2005 Mazda 3 Sedan. I have a buddy that is very good with car audio and he is hooking me up with everything and doing the build.

I have a $1100 budget.

I am getting a

Pioneer DEH 2500ui head unit,

Audiopipe 2000w amp,

2 Sundown SA 15's,

Custom box,

1 extra battery,

0/1 power wire,

and most likely after market speakers all the way around in the future as well as a big 3 upgrade.

Is there anything you guys would change up or recommend?

Thanks, teemac.

Id go with 2-12's or 3 -10's 15's are huge for that vehicle. Id get head unit with 3 RCA out puts for future expansion. The Pioner DEH 7500 Is only a few bucks more and would be a better source. !-15 would also work nice in that car but I think you would be amazed what 2-SA10's would sound like and save some space and weight in vehicle. The better the headunit the better overall sound will be unless adding processors and extra units later. I wish I would have just bought DEH-80PRS to start and not 3 different ones. 80 PRS is a great unit and would be able to get for under 300 Ive seen .

The place I am ordering the head unit from allows you to trade in your unit if you want to upgrade within 6 months and you just pay the upgrade cost. So if im not happy with this one I will upgrade. I really want something to show off to friends so i'm hoping these 15's will do the trick. Buddy of mine thats building for me has 12 SA 15's in a van with 24k watts. I about couldn't breathe!

I have 2 -10's in my Mini of the SD-s line and I have popped the sunroof already. Are you planning on sound deadening the hell out of the car? You wont see 144db without any deadening the vehicle wont hold the pressure. I also design systems and stuff and I run the software and tell my customers the Ideal spl its built to but If you send dirty power to amp you get dirty power from amp and all that = 2 Blown 15's. I'm just trying to help you avoid the same mistakes I see every day. I dont mind fixing there crap because they didnt ask or didnt listen but the 2500 only has a single 2v out put. If you get a HU with 4v or 5v outs you will send cleaner signal to amp plus give you that "show off " Head room. With that HU your gonna be near max or at least sound loke crap when you go to turn it up. The 2-15's in a van have more room to "breath" in your car the airspace is not sufficient to produce the proper wave.
