I have a 4cube box(after displacement) for my SX. I got metered yesterday,i got a 139.3. Im sure i can get a 140 had i fired the sub to the side. but will a 3.5cube box change my results in my favor. I figured 4cubes would give me more output. i want get better numbers. What if i make a box that is a little bit bigger?

My Ride = 2000 Honda Accord LX SDN 4cyl

My Sub = Resonant Engineering SX 15 D2

My Amp = Elemental Designs eD NINe 1(wired to 1 ohm load)

Should be able to get higher numbers........Look in the "your db numbers" thread, see what others are putting up with SX's.

What are you tuned to?

What meter?

my friend built the box. the competion used a termlab they put the mic on my passenger side under dash . i had the sub firing in the "cab area" i did have it firing back but the meter wouldnt go passed 138. the box that i am using was orginally designed for my old SE it was tuned to 32hz. i tuned my subsonic to 28 when i dropped the sx in.

an sx should get alot louder than that who built the box

Umm, [no]

I love how all these people think SX's are some kind of super monster SPL subs.....

In STRICTLY SPL situations, yeah they have potential just like any other sub.

But when you set one up for daily driving..... don't expect it to break a 150 with a single 10/12/15, then come back here crying because your boner brand sub didn't break what you wanted it do.
