SX 15 not sounding right

my box is a little under 4 cubes net tuned to 35... rock = little bass... 33 isnt going to give you what you want... tune to 30, i promise u won't be dissappointed, and u won't loose much output...

DON'T GO SEALED!!! DOES NOOOOOOOOOT do well sealed IMO... doesn't get much lower if any, sq changes very little... it's meant to be ported... just tune low...

Yeah I figured I was going to get a post about not going sealed. I just didntk now if I was going to get a post saying two 15 SX would rock anyway in a sealed enclosure.

If i were to tune to 30 hrtz, what about my alternative music? **** I just need to make an adjustable port.

Oh yeah, I have noticed that I cant push this SX as hard as I thought I could. I dont know how much wattage I am pushing to it, but my JBL has a little more left in it. After playing a bass track in my car, I smell the sub.. OOOO stinky. I thought the SX could recieve 1400 watts rms

Ill remember that, I just dont think the SX has the SQ that I want achieved. That and the 15 cant keep up with System of a Down or other alternative music that I listen to

ok first of all the box is tuned too 35hz. second the box is 4 cubies for the sub and 2 for the port the rest of it was built by dohcrazy good guy build strong. and the sub hasnt been pushed over 1500watts. when i owned it. it was in one outlaw run. and it hit 140 in a mini van windstar.

no but in the frist page it was about how it was built i was just stating that and for a mini van not having any seal what so ever is alright i am not saying yes i am the best it was pretty disapointing. i expected 140+ easy. but ohwell for a daily driver i was happy.

yea, 140 is PLENTY for cruisin around.

I kinda thought it was tuned a little higher than 33. Dont know why I thought that. As for the volume of the box, I already explained that. it gets crazy loud with little john songs, long drawn out bass, not much out there'll beat it in it's class, but ask it to keep up with techno or something, you are asking for trouble... i love how it sounds for rock.. but sealed didn't help it at all... ported actually sounded better to me...

How do I meet in the middle with this sub?

tune really low and put it in a 4 cube box... turn your bass up on your hu for rock, and back down for heavy bass songs
