well it all started last sunday morning when i found out 2 of my windows had been busted out and my cd player stolen. well i had just put in a new amp (concept d1200) and hadnt had a chance to play. Then, irrelevant, but i lost my contacts that night and have to wait till tomorrow to get them. THEN tonight i finally get my car back together and put in a new HU (alpine 9820XM) and i try to turn on my system to tune it.... The amp settings were completely down, and i got 2 burps out of the sub (xxx15) and then it just shut off. i tried changing amps to see if it was the amp, but the other amp didnt work either. what should i blame for this? this sub has not recieved any abuse yet. i just want to break down and cry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

That sucks man, go ahead and Check all the connections and whatnot. Dont cry. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

make sure the wires from the HU to the amp are for sure correct. make sure your fuse isnt blown (agu fuses are tricky sometimes and look fine) make sure your ground is still cool, etc etc.. just check every wire to the amp.

is the power light on or off.. cause if its on and theres no sound.. then after you check amp settings test the sub coils and then check HU settings i suppose..

im sure you didnt want a post this vague but sometimes theres no way to tell until you triple check everything

amp has power. i have checked every possible connection....
Uhh... theres no way it somehow could have been fried/damaged? Maybe the guy who stole the h/u was a dick and screwed your amp up somehow.. Open it up and take a look i guess... even if it doesnt seem possible.

Its something like that... Just shipping i believe. Dont tell me you have a 12.1 thats screwed... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif Thanks for the congrats

Is that the Concept CC-D1200, or the CC-D1200a?

The CCD non-a version have a reputation for fizzling.

I just installed a CD-2410 last night //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Haven't had time to do much with it, and I really need beastier subs.

says who??? i've never had ANY issues with mine...

Id first check the sub's coils with a DMM to make sure everything is okay there. Make sure each coil is the correct impedance (not shorted etc), then make sure the final impedance after paralleling them is correct (to verify the sub is wired correctly). Then move on to possible wiring problems with the amp, and/or possible signal problems (including rem).
