Switch from Treo 1500.1 to ZX2500.1??

I really love my treo amp and subs. I went out of my way to find this amp but the more i read about these d@mn 2500.1's the more i consider getting one. my main concern is efficiency. im running the treo at 1ohm no problem. i know the kicker will do it. i got big 3, yellow top under hood and stock 130amp alt. is it really worth going through the trouble of selling and buying a new amp just to go with the kicker? just need some opinions guys. thanks

keep the 3000 watt at 1 ohm amp.

i've heard that the 1500.1 does better on one ohm, and gets good power too

yep, in testing the ZX1500 at .7, with good voltage, it did more power than the ZX2500 at 2 ohm.

i think he meant the treo 1500.1, but those are some impressive numbers. what kind of voltage was that at?

You aren't even getting your amps true potential with a 130a alt and a 3000w (TRUE RMS) amp.

yea i agree i'm runnin the treo ssx750.1 at 1 ohms with my big 3, big batt and 160 amp alt and i get decent voltage drops and dimming at idle when i'm at fult tilt.

Wow! Did it heat up or anything? Have you tested the 2500 at 1 ohm? If so what type of power did it pump out.

2500 at 1 ohm, depending on rise, etc will do some serious power, but in testing, at .7, the ZX1500 actually did more...
