I have the TMA 500.1 it does 500x1@2ohm and 340x1@4ohm

I have two MTX 12" 7500s DVC 4ohm rms is about 400-500

I hooked both up sealed @ 4ohm in comparison to 1 sealed @ 2ohm and the single 12" w/500rms was louder than the two 12"s with 340rms

I ran the 1 12" until i had money to buy a new amp which hasnt quiet happened yet. I want to get an amp that does about 1k rms @ 1ohm.......

I tried my luck at building a 4cuft box tuned to 38hz today and was semi-sucessful. There were a couple of gaps but were easily filled with caulk and i actually used some wood filler. (hope that is ok) The box pretty much takes up my entire trunk and is going to be sealed off facing the cabin of my car. I installed it today and wired them together with a final ohm load of 4 ohm so i am putting only 340rms total to the two subs in this box. It is WAY louder than the single 12" sealed with 500rms and killed them sealed with 340rms...

I was just super happy that my box turned out ok and am very anxious to either rebuild the box for my next car and or get 500rms going to both of them instead of only 170rms to them!!! I cannot imagine how loud they will be.

Glad to hear it came out ok when your ready you can get the tma t1000.1 (the bigger one to yours) it does 1000 watts @ 1 ohm cheap and amazinely solid amps i used the 500.1 on my w6 for a while and it wang good bang for the buck.

double cone area, pushes twice as much air...u gained on depth too probably....im thinking of adding another jbl p1222 in my trunk just for the hell of it.....tuned to 33 Hz kills the ear drums

would it be alright to remove the "cross support" of metal like going to bottom to top? not the entire metal structure just the bottom part of it. I dont want the car to noticable handle worse or collapse or something...

wont hurt a thing to cut it out. but you loose points for having an audiobahn sticker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

that is a brace there for a reason. you cut it out you risk body flex and worse handling //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

My amp should be comin in this week and I wont be able to install my ish till I get a box built so we can prolly hook up that mb quart amp to your subs and see how they like 1200 watts.
