Supply wire kit to installer or let them use their own?

I just called into another shop that quoted me $75 for the installation including the wire kit.

Should I let them use their wire kit, assuming it wouldn't be very high quality, or buy a KnuKonceptz kit and let them use that? I asked them if their quote would lower if I provided the wire kit and they said no

i don't consider Knu as high quality. ask them what kit they are using and what they have access to. what size wire? if they buy wire and connectors in bulk (and they probably do) they get a much better price than you can.

dude. why are you going to have sombody install shit for you? do it yourself for free? unless money is disposable for your and your just lazy. to which I could see your point.

most shops use Stinger or Tsunami around here and the more big box places use Rockford Fosgate so the wires from shops around here are not too bad. i'd just let them use theirs b/c they are just gonna make up some excuse of why they can't use the one provided or intentionally mess up the install and blame it on the wire kit you provided.

maybe because he recognizes a shop can do a better job or his time is worth more to him.

hell, i lose money when i do my own work - it's time i could be making money.
