Super Budget Build

Active without a DSP? I'm assuming u have one of the newer Pioneer decks that can run in Network Mode and let u set crossovers, time alignment, slope, etc?

You know you don't need a DSP to run active crossovers right?

You do know You'll have more control if you run one right?

That was never part of the conversation. Plenty of people have built adequate sound stages without using a DSP. Knowing how to utilize phase, axis control, and active crossovers can get you very far.

You weren't a part of MY conversation. I asked the OP if he had a way to run his system active....via headunit or DSP. Not sure why u commented to me. Shrugs

It's a public form.. he had said he wouldn't mind running active via the amp...which was already established.

Bro, I will donate a nice pair of 6.5" vifa coaxials for the front. I also have a pair of 6.5 drivers for the rear that would work well for bass/midbass if crossed low. If you're handy with the CA glue, I have a TC2+ 12" that is missing a dustcap. Would be good to go once one is in place. This could all be yours for the low, low price of shipping.
This is a very cool offer.

For super budget...
PPI 900.4

Silver Flute 6.5" Mids

Peerless Silk Dome Tweeters

This is an excellent sounding 2 way setup at a great budget friendly price.

The Peerless can play low enough to blend well with the Silver Flutes, and allows you the option later to do a 3 way active setup fairly easy.
i like it'

also dayton reference. IMO one of the best budget speakers as well

Thanks. I've been fortunate enough to benefit from others extending various forms of generosity, one from you as I recall! I'm happy to be in a position to pass it on.

The tweeter has to be crossed over somehow. Doesn't matter if it occurs at the HU, the amp or passively.
