If u go on caco and go U to the sundown section. Jacob will answer all your questions about the siZe of basket and dimpling of surround. .. He might see this thread on here and I hope he does so he can explain why he made the bigger baskets to surrport the 10.75" spiders and larger OD along with it being taller to be able to surrport the amount Of throw woofer has. The new frames are needed. The zv4 is one of thee most linear woofers out There.

He can explain all he wants. Others get the same throw without a 2 foot basket.

You honestly can't think a surround that can't even hold its shape is that linear.

I'm sure he will come on here talking some over top tech talk. It might do great on the Kippel, do you know how much power is used for that test?

I must say NoLoud, you are a nuthugger and why you refuse to admit/see that is beyond me. You generally recommend DD first then argue anything from any other brand that gets recommended, much like you did here. This is fact.

I recommend Sundown because that is what I have experience with. I am eyeballing some B2 subs for this summer so hopefully I'll be able to start recommending them sometime.

oh btw....my x15 from the yardsale...200 bucks. Nothin' wrong with it except a shitton of excess glue around the spider. Once sub is in enclosure, it won't be seen. Got my 1st one for 330 refurb'd. That's 530 bucks vs. a single dam JL W7.

Now I just gotta hurry up and build a box for them.

So you also think the surround DEFORMING is linear?

If you can't get that much excursion what is the point of the surround that eats up cone area.
