Wasn't too impressed with my X, but I didn't have enough power going to it and it was mounted in IB.

Had lots of factors going against it.

Well yes, it is harder to keep things under control at high excursion. Lots of design work and testing have been done to reduce distortion.

More excursion is better, imo

This applies to every electromagnetic transducer with a cone attached to a voice coil. The magnetic force of the motor decreases as the voice coil moves farther from center, when the number of turns of wire in the gap is reducing. The spider and surround help to keep the voice coil centered in the gap and to assist in moving the coil back toward its natural resting position. It is not mainly a high-end home audio thing.

Put 1500 watts to a X and W7 and see which one gets louder and lower.

Massive it's what they did with the surround.

But you should know that since you are smart.

The higher end stuff is beefy.

I wouldn't buy their sub amps for a couple reasons.

1. There are cheaper amps that pot out similar power

2. The NS1 only does 6500 on a 12v electrical system. I am not going to do an 18v setup. Also, it's really big

They look great and are reliable, just not what I'm looking for.

I like their miltichannels and higher end subs though.

eye ballin zv4s because the xmax. 35mm one way, ****.. I was sitting in my truck at a comp one day, waiting for mylows10 to set up the meter and all that, out of no where I see my mirrors starting to shake to what sounded to be like 31hz, about 50 feet away from me was a guy with 2 zv4 18s in a 4th order bumpin 2nite. that **** was insane, since that day it changed my whole prospective on sundown. ive seen what they can do
