sundowns any good?

LOL i get it now. i dragged and dropped over it and you have a big white J/K. Cool. why you f'ing with our heads like that? LOL.
HAHA! I just couldn't bring myself to make a serious post in this thread because the thread itself just seems like a joke.

the white lettering trick used to get me all the time when I was a newbee!

yeah. that was cool. and the rd audio comment earlier...........let me get it straight i am in no way a fan of any of there stuff or that douchebag steve miller. my rd cost me 35 dollars. no way i would pay $350 for that sub. For $35 dollars its awesome though.

i didnt do a search on this so maybe its out there already but,
it seems so many people on here love sundown.

i myself run an sae, but recently ive heard some pretty bad stuff about sundown.

ie, their not efficient at all, their specs arent what they claim, and one pretty bad one, that sundown amps are refubished/garbage recycled amps that come from china and are just moded a little bit and then are slapped with a sundown case to make them look good.

no offense to anyone, or sundown or jacob at sundown. ive had very good experience with jacob at sundown and hes been more than good to me when ive dealt with him.

meh nothing special same old zenon stuff as others
Except that our newer boards are tooled just for us... so not so much the "same old stuff"

SAZ-3500D was first, now SAZ-2500D and SAX-1200D, new SAZ-1500D on the way -- all newly tooled boards... and SAZ-4500D isn't even Zenon.

All significant improvements over what they replaced in our line.

^ on 18v i bet...
Yah, it was four 1500Ds with I believe 9x Powermaster 16v batteries.

While it was cool to see the meters read 14k from four 1500Ds -- that is why I don't suggest clamping power with two meters on peak hold, as it gives inflated numbers... nearly every clamp test you see online was done this way and is therefore extremely inaccurate.

In my setup that method reads 700 extra watts vs. my clamp meter (4500 watts vs. 3800 on mine). My meter is alot closer to an accurate figure than you typically get from "clamp tests"

For the purpose of the competition organization it works fine as everyone is clamped the same way -- it is used to put you in the proper class.

LOL @ the dumb ***** that took my post seriously! apparently you didn't see the big J/K at the bottom LOL!!
FYI guy who said "I prolly got spanked by Sundown". my BTL18/Z1 smoked a sundown setup at the most recent comp. He was running a pair of SAZ-3K's and a pair of NS15's IIRC... same exact vehicle too even, he managed a 144~ and I threw up a 150.2 both in Dodge Durango's. His was done by a shop and he said he had about $4K~ in his setup, I have about $2k~ in mine and I did it myself. Now had his system been setup right I think he would have beat me. I love SD amps, and actually purchased my Z1 from Jacob. I have run SD and love it, I also love AQ and now I am a big Fi fan as well. I have run pretty much every decent brand out there at some point.

Whoever told you that shit is just plane stupid. Sundown is awesome shit and Jacob seems like an awesome guy and I have never heard anythin bad about customer service either. I mean, no ones customer service will ever quite match the awesomeness of RD's but pretty good none the less LOL
I would like to know what Sundown system you were talking about? There was only 2 other systems at that show with Sundown besides me. Travis had 3 SA-12s on a SAZ-1500D in a box tuned way too low to even throw up a good number. And then there was Todd who had 2 custom 12s in a sealed box off a SAZ-3500. And as far as your 150.2 I call BS... You did a 148.6. Quit lying.

And as far as Sundown *******..... HAHAHAHAHA you gotta be a fool to hate Sundown!
