sundowns any good?

i didnt do a search on this so maybe its out there already but,

it seems so many people on here love sundown.

i myself run an sae, but recently ive heard some pretty bad stuff about sundown.

ie, their not efficient at all, their specs arent what they claim, and one pretty bad one, that sundown amps are refubished/garbage recycled amps that come from china and are just moded a little bit and then are slapped with a sundown case to make them look good.

no offense to anyone, or sundown or jacob at sundown. ive had very good experience with jacob at sundown and hes been more than good to me when ive dealt with him.

Wtf? You run a Sundown, but you've heard some bad things? What's your personal experience? I have never heard anything negative about Sundown or Jacoob... except maybe from the guys they are stomping in the lanes.

Yea I have always heard nothing but good stuff about sundown. I just received a SAE-1200D v.2 today from delivery dude and it looks like a rock solid amplifier. I can't wait to get my box and subs so I can start wiring all this stuff im receiving every day in the mail.

Sundown's saz & sax series amplifiers are built in a Korean factory. Some people make ridiculous claims about just HOW good the Sundown product is, but that doesn't matter. Any respectable company is going to have some fanboys, but the fact remains...Sundown's reputation speaks for itself. The product is built well & backed by solid customer service, and the staggering number of satisfied users are easily found. The sae amps are built in China, as far as I know, and they aren't as nice as the zenon built saz & sax lines, but they're still a decent alternative to many more expensive amps...

Sundown is the real deal...and that's coming from someone who isn't a fanboy. I've never owned a single piece of Sundown gear.

Ill admit the sae 1200 wasnt a great amplifier...had some problems from factory but thats why the v2 is out. I had a sae 1200 and was replaced by the saz-1000d and love it even more. Sundown is a great company with great CS. There amps and subs are awesome.

i wouldnt 2nd guess 1 of there products jake will take care of you 110%. customer service is why his products stand out and have such a high resale value...

amps have won me over saz series are solid as ****

i have in my car one of the first run saz1500ds ive run it at.5 all day and i run it all day at 1 right now

solid *** amps if you have a decent electrical even more rewarding when you have a solid electrical

I'd like to know where you heard any of that.

1st - The SAZ and SAX amp lines are South Korean made. The SAE line is Chinese made but still carries our full warranty and support.

2nd - All of our amps easily exceed all specifications :

3rd - Refurbished amps are available through dB-R electronics ** -- but any amp you buy from a dealer or from us is brand new and not recycled in any way... in fact all of our newest Class-D amps are proprietary Sundown board toolings. Shortly all of them will be (new 1500D being tooled up, 1000D being replaced by new 1200D board, 2000D replaced by new 2500D board, etc, etc).

4th - That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard (you can feel free to tell the guys who told you this that I said that... in fact, please do)... it would take WAY more effort for us to buy broken boards fix them, take them out of the old case, install them in a new case, and sell them with a 2-year warranty than it would to make brand new amps in the first place... how does that make sense at all ?

Anyway... glad you have had a good experience with us - you will find most people do. We do our best to take care of people.

** - Refurbished amps are available in the first place as we REPLACE amplifiers under warranty for customers that have a problem in about 95% of cases. This way the customer does not have to wait on a repair AND it also provides lower cost Sundown amps to customers who buy the refurbished amps - dB-R even offers a 1 year warranty... to me this is excellent service. To some people it's an excuse to say that we ****... IMO those people need mental help.

LOL you have quite a list of products there most people dont brag about having that under rated junk takes a man with no brain to be proud of your Pyle crap! but more power to ya man its not what you have its how you use it!

LULZ I wish who ever told you that would come watch me pop 157s all day with my amps at .25 ohms and never even think about getting warm or going into protect. It might change their minds. That's even on a stock alt (still waiting on my dual DC kit).
