Sundown X or Zv3

Might consider doing 1 15" Sundown X or Zv3. Want to know whats the difference between them since there both 1500RMS. Also want to know how come the Zv3 needs 3ft^3 while the X needs 4.25ft^3. Why does X need more?

Diff subs.....no big deal about why one requires less.more airspace than the other.

By low end monster do you mean playing decaf and chopped and screwed music? I listen to songs normally and the lowest song that hits is probably White Girl by Jeezy and Rack City by Tyga. So Would Zv3 be better suited for this application?

time's a wasting man you really cant go wrong with whatever sub's been recommended at all. As long as the install is good, proper use of cabin gain, vehicle acoustics and subwoofer loading, you can even have some flea market subs in a perfect install in a good acoustical environment destroy a pair of sundowns in poor install.

Is the sundown x a 1250 rms woofer or 1500 rms woofer sundown site says 1500 but other sites say 1250

x15 version 1 is 1250 watts

x15 version 2 is 1500 watts

Either way who cares. People put 3x the power to them.

I would like the Zv3 better. The will play lower "alittle" better. But the should be louder

I'm not a Sundown expert but it sounds like the ZV3 is the better woofer for you. The X is designed to play lower in a larger enclosure. The ZV3 should take up less room and be a tad louder at the frequencies you plan to listen to. The X has a much higher mms and a tad more peak to peak so it's the direction I'd go if I wanted a windy low frequency ground pounder.

Fvck that!!! Get the Xv2 with standard surround and cone aka spl surround . It gives it more tradional sound like zv3

360 bucks gets you a x15v2 shipped to your door.

If....I don't like these version 1's, I'm switching to version 2's. And the best part is they can take the same enclsoure.

Is there any advantage to running a zv.4/x with spl cone vs a zv.3?

look the Xv2 needs 2kw

The Zv4 needs 3kw

The z3 (I like them a lot they get LOUD above 35hz) are more punchy they like the same power as the new xv2

The x2 and z3 sound similar with the z being more punchy and better above 40 naturally and uses about 4-4.25 cubes tuned to 35

the x2 is smoother and more mellow down low and uses a slightly smaller lower tuned box unless you outright want killer lowend. 3.75 tuned to 30 for music by music I mean very balanced and a flatter response with lower distortion throughout the bandwidth. the 4.25 tune will give you KILLER lowend and still sound great but will force you to use a slightly lower xover point around 60 hz.

the z4 is a lowend MONSTER. More so than the x2 or z3 but it needs more power and lower tune. it can play very as well up high but it hurts output abit/needs more power and a smaller box to increase bandwidth efficiency.

for music Id do 4 tuned to 32, Want more low-end? 4.25 tuned to 30 and for a SQ setup 3.75 tuned to 28

with good lowend and the best overall sound..
