Sundown x-15v2 pushed with Hifonics brx 2400.1d?

You guys have been very helpful, but I do have one more question. I'm poor lol so I just watched big d wiz dyno the cab 1600.1d at 1532 certified and 2279 dynamic. That would be a better choice than what I have now right? I get the box rise and all but I'm not into competition or anything. Just a daily that sounds good. I just really don't wanna destroy the sub more than anything.

I had 2 cab's... they're powerful... don't be fooled into believing those outlandish dyno numbers... 4000+ @ 1/2 ohm... lol...Getting one to run at 1 ohm... you wont hear any difference with a 2-300 watt difference anyways... you'll need to go MUCH larger on the amp to hear any difference

So don't waste my time going from the hifi to the cab?

If you want the true rms rated power to a sub, use an amp that does 3-4x the wattage of the sub at your intended ohm load.
Because impedance rise.
Don't forget it takes power to make power. Therefore, upgrades in electrical is a must.
more output around and below tuning..
So I sent the specs to the builder 4.5cubs with 75in2^and this was his reply.....
Yes double baffle is included in that price. 4.5 cubes net with 16.6 sq in of port per cube is no problem. Does that sound right? @Papermaker85

Yea but be warned it's going to give you more output down low. You might want to spend the money on. Run better amp before spending another 200 on a box that's going to give you marginal gains. It will be louder but only between 25 and 35hz and it will be around 1-2db. If what you want is more low-end the box will help but at the expense of tokens output. Where in another amp will give you gains through the bandwidth.

Just don't want to miss lead you.

yeah like pm said bigger box plays deeper not louder, kinda wish i'd gone .2cf smaller on mine but i don't like much below 35hz most others do..

Just seeing this @Papermaker85. I don't have a box yet getting it built. I just have the speaker and amp already.
