Quoted from the Alpha vs IA DP thread.

"Three 15" Alphas did do a 162.9 in pro stock 1801-3000 Usaci. It was on four 2000 watt db drive amps.

Also 3 othem did a 160.4 off one rd7250 in stock 3000+

In their rule book it looks like the mic can be anywhere in front of the b-pillar. Just want to be sure nobody is confused - that was probably in the kick panel.

I am 3 dB up in the kick in my vehicle.

"The microphone/sensor can be placed anywhere forward of the “B” pillar in the passenger

compartment with a microphone/sensor globe attached. Special panels or enclosures for globe

placement will not be allowed. The microphone or sensor may not be placed anywhere that is

deemed “hazardous to the equipment” by the head judge."

Still good scores, though, I'm sure - and I'm not downing RD. Just want to make sure people can compare results more directly when shopping for their product.

Yeah pretty good scores considering the highest score ever hit in that class was a 164.1 and that was three 15 HW and three D9's

And the highest score ever in the 3000+ was 164.1 and that was three 15" hw's and six mmats 4000's.

hrrmmmm, not favorable to usaci rules?
Most people are more familiar with "legal" dB Drag scores at the windshield //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif If you see a huge number and don't know where it was taken you might be confused.

Indeed - like I said, still a good number! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just alot of people don't know USACI rules and might try to compare to dash scores without knowing.

awwww ok... got ya....

I have found that the kick can sometimes also cause a drop in db's... i know someone that scores higher legal than in the kick.

edit: it also needs to be differentiated thtat the usaci score above was a burp number... not 30 seconds of music.
