Sundown nightshade vs vfl 18 pleazzzz comment

I am upgrading real soon from a sundown x18 in a 5 cubed box. I want louder even though the x was loud as hell but I'm deciding between nightshade 18 or american bass vfl 18. Which in the right enclosure could get loudest. Asking for help from actual current or previous owners.

Nightshade is a big step up from ANYTHING sold by American Bass. I don't think you'd have dramatic differences on the meter, but overall they're not in the same tier by my estimation.

Oh thank god you arent oceanhawk... lol. I'd go with the NS. @Massive spl can tell you what box configuration got him loud with his NS 18s.

that's kinda what I was hoping to hear given that my car already have sundown audio stickers on the windows. cant wait to get this thing ordered. but **** why is that vfl so heavy 190lbs thought it would be up to par, but looking at the price tag guess that gives it away

A VFL 18 doesn't weigh 190 lbs. No where near it.

190 has to be a misprint. AFAIK VFL series woofers are just Soundqubed with a different logo on the dustcap and magnet boot.
