I definately wouldn't consider these subs "fart machines". This install is geared more towards spl, but I have no doubt that they could sound better is a more sq oriented setup. These subs are described as being spl subs with the ability to play music so nobody is claiming them to be sq dynamos anyways.

The score just keeps getting better. This is the result from a comp today.

I just heard from Rich (stratusrt01) today that the two Nightshade 15s and one 3000D he installed in an S-10 hit 150.3 dB on music. It looked really loud in the videos, first time metering.

Update:

Pics as it sits right now.

Score from a Clash of Titans event last weekend. This was a renegade score on an AC meter.

Score from a comp today. This was sealed, mic on the windshield, on a TL.

I'm right there at that 152. Just a touch more fine tuning.

hmmm. i am building a pair of 18's using konaki motors and some softparts i had made up, quad spiders - quite a stiff suspension, prolly 2kw daily or so. im not 100% on the box. im thinking about 8 cubes and hopefully 3~5kw.

im not sure if i want to go with aeroports or not. what do you recommend? are they that much better than regular slot ports for the SPL oriented?
