Best Sub at or around 400w

Alright guys i've been looking around at subwoofers and am drawing a blank. As it says in my sig i've got a 94 civic beater so nothing too crazy since the tiny alternator can't handle too much. I was thinking nothing over 500 watts. So have at it, recommend me the best subwoofer that can handle max 500 watts rms but would prefer a little less. Have had my eye on the JL 13W1v2. Also whatever sub i get it'll be going into a ported box that i'll make once i get the sub.

I am liking the image dynamics subs. I would probably get the the regular id12 due to the price but looks good. Can anyone vouch for image dynamics? I've heard of the company but know very little about them.

i own a 15idqv2 and 10idqv3 and 12idmaxv2 all are amazing subwoofers sound great and good loud enough for most.

Sounds great, thanks for your help. Believe me anything that bumps will be good for me. I have been without bass since october when i sold my first set up 2 12" type arghhhs.

Kicker CompVR is also an excellent choice fo the budget minded, they get plenty loud for most off 4-500 watts, and by most I mean less than 10percent of the people on this forum.. But most consumersm its plenty loud enough for.

I really love my 2x IDQ10v3 subs running off of 250w a piece from my Zapco 500.1 amp. They sound so CLEAN and are very efficient since they don't need a ton of power to make them sound good.

Go with Image Dynamic subs and you won't regret the decision/purchase!!

I have had MTX, Kicker JL, Infinity, Punch and plenty more subs and the IDQ's i have now are better sounding by far. You will love the way they hit, hard and clean and accurate.

Phoenix Gold Rsdc. Get very loud off minimal watts. Very efficient sub. I have the loudest system in my town with the two Rsdc's.
