Sundown helpo.

I've been having almost the same problem. Just haven't got around to testing anything yet to determine the problem. I did just check the basics though, sub coils are fine, amp not hot ever. Hopefully I get a chance to look into it soon. Gets annoying when there is no low end.

I haven't had any lows for like 2 weeks now, Getting so anxious for the new stuff to hurry up and get here, then I still have to get the box made and 1/0 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

well , i got a new head unit and everything was fine (sort of).

the bass would be there then fade out and in some. not as much as it did with the previous HU but it is apparent. the past two days , i would turn the car off and back on and there would be little to no bass. i checked the rca's and they are putting out signal to the amp. all my connections are fine and the sub reads fine. the amp does not get hot or go into protect at anytime, and the gain was set with a DMM. i have minimal dimming at full tilt with a stock battery and alt. wtf. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

when i would be driving the bass would come back and be solid untill i turn the car off. sometimes when i turn it back on , it would continue just fine , other times there would be nothing till i start driving around then it would slowly come back.

helpo?

You aren't testing this out when the car is off are you?

Step 2 if it didn't work in your car but did in your girls then you have something wrong. Try new RCAs

same thing with the car off. when i made the videos for my review , the truck was idling for around 10 minutes and had no problems with the bass fading in and out. i just went to drop something off and the bass was fine on the way there but was quieter on the way back. the truck stayed on the whole time.

when i was testing the amp and speaker , i put some different rca's and it was doing the same thing. i also probed both with the dmm and they were putting out signal.

Very odd, I'm wondering if its a grounding issue or power issue with your headunit wiring. Did you use a wire harness adapter and are just using all stock wiring? If so you may want to ground to metal and not the harness. If that doesn't help try running a power wire directly to the HU from the car battery.

ive probed the rcas with the car on/off and they were sending signal. the hu doesnt dim at all.

fuses and grounds are fine. ill look at everything again tomorrow.

it is still under warranty so worst case i can get it taken care of that way.

i didnt hook speakers to it and/or leave it in there for longer than 5 minutes so i dont know if it will do that in another car or not. i will check it out tomorrow.

i did get the amp less than a year ago used from jacob himself in one of his 'garage sales' so it's still under warranty.

it did it again today. i just went out to the cigarette store and everything was working fine, bass was how it should be. i turned off the truck for a minute to run in and out , jump back in and turn it on , there is little to no out put comming from the amp/sub. no protect light and the amp never gets hot.

my truck always starts right up , so i dont think its a voltage issue. my lights dont even dim much at full tilt. when my girl gets home from school , ill throw it in her car for the rest of the day and see if its just my truck , but i dont think it is...

i just put it in my girls car tonight so in the next couple days we'll see whats up , if its my truck or the amp. she has a stock 60 amp alty and the big 3 done in 4g so it should be getting enough power...

Like I mentioned before my amp was doing something very similar. The sub output would fade out to almost nothing. I took some readings cold, then warmed up and the amp was not putting out the right voltage. I also tested the RCA's to ensure it wasn't the deck. So then I put in my second 1500d and it's been running fine, just like the first one did before it acted up. I just haven't had a chance yet to send it into Jacob yet =( Oh well it happens, no biggy.
