Sundown e8v5 compared to sa8 v1.5

I apologize in advance for another whats the best 8" thread. Have decided its time to retire the hx2 8s. Plan to do a center console build that will restrict me to using aforementioned size. So the question is how do these two compare? Planning on 1.5 tuned at 30-32. Have a hifonics zues 1216.1D that I hope can do a clean 6-700w (will be wired down to 1ohm). Listen to all kinds of music, does one have edge over other musically, also which one would catch the low end better? Budget is 2-300 for the pair. Also would take any suggestions on other brands. Have looked around but with no firsthand experience with the higher quality brands of today am a bit hesitant. Thanks in advance.

Jacob has said that the ev5 is pretty much on par with the sa8 v1. I think on that power, the Es would do well.

Check car audio bargain for bstock. The e8s are arond 80$

I am installing some 8"s into my truck and I stopped by the local stereo shop and listened to a pair of American Bass VFL 8"s and was surprised by just how good they sounded. I didn't know a pair of 8"s could get that loud. I wound up buying a pair and I'm going to recommend those, they are very nice subwoofers. Sorry but I've never listen to the sundown 8"s but have been told they are very nice also. I hope in some small way this helps.
