Sundown amp crapped on me..

So i'm running 2 ga wires all around (have yet to upgrade but will soon), and my system currently looks like this

15" TC3k

Sundown SAZ-1500d

Diamond D7152 amp

6.5 Rainbow Germanium's

As for electrical, i'm running stock battery and an EA 200amp alternator..

I checked my fuses and they look perfectly fine (no brown spots or loose metal), so I am wondering what could be the problem? Any ideas for starters? yea, it smelled a bit burnt

Whenever I turn my car on, the little red dot light shows up and says its in Protect mode.

Called a local respected car audio store (I said respected, not exactly smart lol) to see if they could check it out

but I guess it's too late in the day (3p.m. here) to check on it? local shops FTL

wow normally sundown amps run really good. did you double check the sub wiring??

is your ground good?

Playing at too loud at idle? Stock batteries aren't always the best for holding a decent charge under stress, and remember HO alts don't really shine until 12-1400 RPMs and up.

Unplug everything except power from the amp, if it's still in protect, you have bigger problems.

Check ground and sub wires, and RCAs.

I checked my sub, and my sub wiring. Everything seems cool.

and to those saying unplug everything...

do you mean take the screw out and then take the wires out? Everything but the power wire

and I was on the freeway when it blew (if that matters)
