But the question is will their drop in tests really predict how the same gear will operate in your unique install?

i dont know if im necessarily comparing it to an install im going to be doing. a drop in test would be the same if batteries stayed the same, had the same charge, no variables changed and we tested each amp at the rated specs, and clamped efficency.

In my experience, larger amps tend to not be quite as efficient as equivalent smaller ones. Basically what I'm saying is this test would be unfair to the 40.1. A 3kwatt 30.1 would be a more even comparison to the saz-3000d or the 20.1 to the upcoming saz-2000d.
