Sundown 3000D vs. Incriminator Audio 40.1

Not necessarily a versus thread, just a comparison thread. I would like to know peoples thoughts on this, I was on Team Sundown so I may be a bit biased, but everyone knows that the sundown 3000D by proven tests has proven to be a fair amount underrated.

I just want to see what people have to say about both of these products. I know the 40.1 is viewed as a "current hog" as the Sundown is considered "very efficient"

I would like this to be organized but anyone with tests i would love peoples input of this vs. that. this is for my benefit and for other peoples as well.

I know theyre not the same but ratings are a couple 100 watts apart, so thought it would be a close comparison as to what people thought.

Thank You.

this could be a major fail or a good success, I just would like posted tests, or competitors thoughts. Im not bashing either company or rooting for one or the other, just want to know peoples thoughts.

Im sure people compare one to the other when deciding which to buy, both have great customer service, reputations, and test results.

Is the Sundown more effecient then the 40.1? I always figured since there both zenon boards ( I may be wrong) that they would both be similiar in efficiency.

I loved my 40.1's Biggest mistake of my life getting rid of them.... Also I tested them to do over 2000 watts @ 2.1 ohms @ 10.9 volts...... I dont think there that much of a current hog as people think

I just remember reading alot of places that the 20.1 and the 40.1 are both current hogs but alot of people claimed that the 20.1 can get a lot lower ohm wise than the 40.1, but the sundown can get real low for daily as well.

Where are you getting that the 40.1 is a current hog? Just curious, never heard that about them.

If you are just running one amp, the 40.1 is going to do more power 9 times out of 10.

If I am correct iamamp3pimp is running his 20.1's @ .5 strapped each daily so I would assume thats .25 nominal each.

one person, although hated by alot of people is a good competitor and knows his stuff. TSGP had the 20.1s, as well as the 40.1s i believe, this is just one source. he told me 40.1s cant go as low as 20.1s. 20.1s are known to barrel down low ohm loads all day, but he said the 40.1s its not as easy to do it. thats just one source.

I know ive read other places as the amps being "current hogh" or requiring more elctrical", not in the comparison of versus just the sundown, but any amp in general.

ANY amp that puts out upwards of 3-4k is gonna **** current, thats all there is to it.... the people who call either of these amps current hogs just havent dealt with many amps in this power range, if i were going to call any amp in this class a power hog it would be the Memphis 4k

yea but based on what you just said, no one knows what electrical youre running. state what you have and people can make assumptions better.
