suggestions i need a tight clean sub

some old school memphis 10's. I have 2 in a sealed box with the amp mouted flush in the box, and it kicks massive ***. At least, its the SQ that i want. At any rate, you will want a sealed box, and no more than a pair of matching subs. Depending on install and power, you might even get away with using only one.

I use a Diamond D9 12 inch sub in a 1.5 CF sealed enclosure in my Envoy. The bass is very tight and not boomy. I purchased new for $250. I am using with a Diamond D7401 800RMS amp. I highly recommend if this is something in your budget.
