Suggestion needed

I'm in the market for a single 12" or dual 10" subs that I can tune to around 28-34hz for lows, but can also give me the response and kick I need for smooth transition of mid-bass from my comps to the sub (for true kick bass effect). I'm aware that this may be redundant. Let's assume price range is under $200. Please advise me if I should go with larger sealed or ported with the recommendation.
