I want to know what is a good spl subwoofer for my accord that will be loud. I want to have one sub. I listen to rap so im guessing i should go with a large ported box. I want to try to keep the price under 200.

If your trying to keep it that low i would say your best bet is an Alpine R series. It is a Really good sub for the cost. A buddy has 2 of them with a rockford fosgate amp pushing them and it sounds good. You should be able to get sub & box for close to that. Will sound good, but don't know how loud your trying to get. Also the box you get is Very important. Don't try and save 20$ and get the cheaper box, it really means a lot. Also the amp is just as important. Just because a brand says a 1000 watts does not mean your getting that i.e. say you buy some cheap 1000 watt amp, in truth your probably getting about 200 or 300 watts maybe more, but it just doesn't sound good. If you don't already have one and want just the one sub with deep quality bass. i recommend JL audio or Rockford amp. I always will say JL though its the best imo aside from the competition equipment. These cost more, but i have learned through trial and error unfortunately.
