suggestion for new subs

ok right now i have 2- 12" Treo ssi dvc2 in my alero in a prefab box...although it sounds good and is loud im thinking i want to go more for sound quality and not big boomy bass,,what subs and what size would you suggest for great clean sound with just enough bass to keep me satisfied? im running a jl a1800 @ 2ohms so i have about 1000 watts to push it with.

When I ran my JL 12's, the first thing everybody said when they listened was "wow it sounds so clean". Cant go wrong with JLs for SQ but they are a little pricey. If you want a good deal on some 12W3's then let me know.

oh so i should have searched for someone with 2 treo ssi 12's asking what they should change to? the question was pretty specific,,if there wasnt anything that much better then i would expect that answer too. see thats what pisses me off about some of you people.instead of helping someone out you get all E-dick about it. and just to let you know i did search and nope didnt find much out there pertaining to the same question i asked.

w6v2's yes but theyre expensive as hell and you can find something that sounds as good for half that.

there have been about a million and 2 threads about someone looking for better SQ subwoofers.

i think the SSi's in a medium-large sealed box would sound great. prefab boxes usually arent very good seeing how theyre mass produced and not made specifically for each subwoofer.

if you want a different sub selection, like i said, do a search in the subwoofer discussion area for better SQ or something. you will get what youre looking for.

yes. try different box if it doesnt sound as good then get diff subs.

new box is a much cheaper method
