do you want to go active or passive?

what size are you looking for? 5 1/4", 6", or ?

what kind of music do you listen to as most speakers have certain traits that will work better with different types of music.

lots of variables so we will probably need more input to help you out.

if you want an SQ set up ditch the rear 6x9's as a true sound stage should be coming from in front of you, not behind!

I really like my vifa D26NC55 tweeters. I really like the Hertz high energy 2-way components too. I read nothing but great things about the seas 27TFFNCs but that about the extent of tweeters from the top of my head. James bang mentioned a pair that had a large circular flange (like 3" or so) but I can't remember which ones he was talking about, you'd have to ask him.

This, in my opinion, is your best bet.

I run a set of PG Comps with Blaupunkt VC 100 tweeters replacing the stock PGs passive off a Sundown 125.2 and it sounds great. If anyone had told me that, I would have not believed them.

You live in Houston, and you say this? Houston is a big city, they have lots of stuff there. I could prolly google/ dealer locate 10 mid-high end shops there
