Subwoofer with crack in cone

I have a 10W7 that a few months back something in the trunk hit the cone of the sub and there is no a 1 inch crack in the cone. As far as sound it sounds like it did before, or at least I think. I called JL and they said it would be $250 to fix it, but besides cosmetics I don't think theres a point. Anyone else here have any subs that have had a crack towards the center of the cone? I have a sealed box as well so I'm really surprised it still sounds as good as it does.

on the w7's theres an outer cone thats actually a dust cap i think, or it just there for looks, anyway it seem to be a common problem for w7's outer cone to crack, and it is only cosmetic and does not effect performance.
