SubWoofer type

I have a AVH501ex with a 250w Alpine amp. Speakers sound great but I would like more bottom end. Please suggest a good subwoofer and type. Don't want to wake the neighbors. Thanks

That's an attractive price if you don't mind the traditional Fi build times.

How much space do you have for a box, what's your budget and are you willing and capable of building your own cabinet?

Is your current amp powering some components or is that an amp that is waiting for a sub to power?
