Subwoofer Suggestion

I have been out of the game for about 10 years. I have been driving a company car for the past couple of years, and I’m finally about to get a personal car again. Doing research again, and boy has things changed since my last system! Lots of new brands I don’t recognize , and a lot of brands I knew are now gone or no longer the same apparently.

Trying to find a 12” sub that’ll work in a small ported enclosure, and that sounds great sounds great. I don’t need anything too loud. I will probably be feeding it about 500 watts RMS. For reference my favorite subwoofer I have ever owned was an Image Dynamics IDQv2 12” and I had that in a ported 1.3ft big tuned to 28hz. I appreciate all of your help!
As someone that has an Image Dynamics IDQ 12" sub I believe you'd enjoy using a 12 inch sub from Resilient Sounds. I currently have two of their Entry Level subs (RS 12 D4 ohm 500W) and a Gold series sub (Gold Series 12" D2 ohm v1 1000W) and they sound outstanding in a ported or sealed box. I have a Down4Sound (D4S) JP23 v2 amp pushing either of those subs and here's some links to the items I just listed so you can check them out for yourself.

Pardon me good sir; what are those?
Those are custom milled aluminum mounting feet that I sandblasted, primed and painted with rustoleum copper paint. Pretty slick! I'm thinking of pulling the alloy ends off my black Xcelsus Magma 240.4 and painting them the same way too!

That's an alphard group product 🤔
I believe that Xcelsus is distributed in Europe by the Aphard group, they are designed, licensed, and HQ'd out of Sweden.

I've discussed this with Scott Welch, the owner of Audio Intensity and president of CA– Aegis, the US distributor. Scott is one of the original co-founders of DLS audio.

I didn't mill them, they were done by a regular member on the DIYMA forum named SHAGGS.

He did a run of them in the aluminum finish, I thought they would be next level if the copper finish matched the transformer covers, came out really cool.

The guy even made brackets for connecting a set together if you have the room! I don;t think he's got any more but they were reasonable at the time.

Prices are;
1 set of ends - $45 shipped
2 sets of ends - $70 shipped
3 sets of ends - $95 shipped
1 set of ends and a connector - $75 shipped
2 sets of ends and 1 connector - $100 shipped
3 sets of ends and 1 connector - $125 shipped
2 sets of ends and 2 connectors - $125 shipped

The design and product were sent to Nick at Stereo Integrity, but I don't think it ever went anywhere, at least not at this writing and that was back in August of 2024.
