Subwoofer Recommendation Requirements

This will work for your dimensions. The size of the box and the depth will make it really hard to find a lot of subs. This NVX sub is a pretty good sub.

On the surface that looks like the way to go. Thank you. I'll read on it some more.

....just come in from working on a custom box for my truck. Soon as I finish that it'll be onto the Firebird.

I was looking at that nvx when I was sub shopping for my Taurus. I think it'd be really peaky in small box without much low end.
Thank y'all. I sent the same question to Skar days ago but haven't heard anything after the initial response which probably means no.
I'm running SDR12's in a too small sealed custom box as of yesterday. I'm still tuning on it but it's under performing to say the least. The SDR is definitely out for this project though I know they'll rattle your eyes in a proper configuration.

I don't believe skar makes a sub that does well in a small box. They're targeted more to people who want to be loud over everything else 😂

That was the car I sold...... ghetto blaster, it was awesome at 1/4 mile away. I did have an unusual idea just now. Perhaps I'll measure it all once again and start making a drawing.... make a build thread instead of overwhelming this thread. Thank y'all again.

Every 15" sub is going to have that issue. This one is one of the very few that will perform in that small of a box. Of course a bigger box will be better, but... not much of a choice here.

The svc ho Dayton and sql-15 are the best performing small box 15's until you start hitting boutique brands that are a lot more expensive. NVX makes good subs but theyre not the best choice for small boxes

Ok, guys. I need suggestions on how I can fit this in my truck. I know I will need to do a cut-through. I wonder if I can get this with 30mm Xmax.

That's nuts that's one of those real theater woofers. I think someone makes an 80" version.

"The subwoofer is said to be capable of moving 173 litres of air (as much as 20 21-inch subwoofers) at one inch of diaphragm excursion, so you could literally be blown away if you get too close.

The frequency range goes all the way down to 1 Hz, and it can handle a whopping 114 dB at 5 Hz, 128 dB at 20 Hz, while the maximum sound pressure in the higher bass frequencies is 145 dB – continuously! This is where you might accidentally activate the earthquake alarm if you’re not careful with the volume control…"

"10,000 watt amplifier and 10 cubic metre cabinet"

10 cubic meters is like 353 cubic feet and that's supposedly minimum cabinet size 😂🥴
