On the enclosure I took out the connectors and just ran the wires through the box straight to the sub. But if my remote wire is loose or disconnected the power light wouldn't come on from the amp right? I might take my hu out and make sure everything is the way it should be but I don't think the problem is there but only one way to know for sure. At this point I don't have much of a choice. I've checked the fuses no problems there. Rewired the sub to the amp checked the ground wire. Power wire is hot. I'm not sure what else to do. Is there a way to check the amp by multimeter?Try a diff amp. If you get the same thing, something in the wiring is going on.
I've had a remote wire that turns on the amp after the radio comes on that would come on/turn off whenever it felt like. Long story short, the remote wire wasn't nowhere near tight crimped to the other remote wire from the radio from the previous owner. So I recripmed and all went good.
Connections are the biggest issue when diagnosing/troubleshooting. It often gets overlooked so make sure you check inside the sub enclosure.
I Might ask....how is your electrical? Some JL amps are made to run on strong electrical. Sometimes they can cause problems leading the driver think it's something else.
