Subwoofer placement/ mounting amp

OK i got a 2005 cherokee and now my subs are facing the trunk, and my amp is mounted to the back of the box so when u look in at the subs from behind the car, you can not see the amp, is this the best way to have subs facing in an SUV? or shoul di face them up twoards the ceiling and put the amp somewhere else? and is it good to have the amp mounted to the back of the box?

they are 2 12" kicker L7's and one hifonics bx1500d amp

is it ported? if so.....what way r the ports firing.... it shouldnt hurt having the amp mounted to the back of the box like that

yea its ported and the and the ports are firing towards the trunk.
