AA Atlas 12 vs Infinity Perfect 12?

Has anyone had an opportunity to hear BOTH of these subs?

I've had the Atlas 12 in a 1.2 cube (sealed) MDF/fiberglass spare tire well enclosure in my '98 CRV for almost two months. It's getting 280 watts from a US Acoustics USX-2080 amp. I DO like the Atlas(the SQ is excellent) as it CAN hit fairly hard on some material but I'm looking for a little more impact without sacrificing too much SQ.

I've been reading good things about the Perfects for awhile and I was wondering if they would be a noticeable upgrade. Keep in mind that it's gonna go in a 1.2 cube sealed enclosure... a larger enclosure and/or ported is out of the question. I like the stealthy nature(for the practicality and security) of my enclosure so I'm gonna stick with it.

I loved Ascendant's customer service so I probably won't make a move until their new lines of subs come out. Then I'll make my decision. The Atlas is a quality sub but I'm just looking for a little more impact.

seems like you kinda already made up your mind, but from personal experience with the infinity products, id have to say they are great subs if u are looking for something that gives great sq and some spl. harman has great customer service as well, when u blow a sub, and its a manufactureres defect, they just send u a new one to replace it, no hassle with sending the blown sub back!!!

I have heard a lot of the infinity subs(never owned) and they sound good. I have the atlas's in a ported box(2.95ft3) @ 32hz and it slams ( i am only running one right now). good sq and it gets loud with like 280wrms.(not sure if that is correct I have been told that the pa lt980.2 benched at 512 wrms bridged at 4 ohms). the amp is a pa lt980.2 bridged at 4 ohms. and personally I would stay with my atlas.

I love my 15" Atlas. 3 cubes sealed with only 220 rms going to it (for now) and hte SQ is amazing. On par with the SI Magnum I had but I'm gonna throw a little more power at it and possibly port it and see what kinda results i get.

go with the Atlas....

id give the atlas just a pinch more power and maybe make the box a little bigger and see what you think then :p

play with the box and the install, and THEN decide weather you need new equipment.
