Has anyone had an opportunity to hear BOTH of these subs?
I've had the Atlas 12 in a 1.2 cube (sealed) MDF/fiberglass spare tire well enclosure in my '98 CRV for almost two months. It's getting 280 watts from a US Acoustics USX-2080 amp. I DO like the Atlas(the SQ is excellent) as it CAN hit fairly hard on some material but I'm looking for a little more impact without sacrificing too much SQ.
I've been reading good things about the Perfects for awhile and I was wondering if they would be a noticeable upgrade. Keep in mind that it's gonna go in a 1.2 cube sealed enclosure... a larger enclosure and/or ported is out of the question. I like the stealthy nature(for the practicality and security) of my enclosure so I'm gonna stick with it.
I loved Ascendant's customer service so I probably won't make a move until their new lines of subs come out. Then I'll make my decision. The Atlas is a quality sub but I'm just looking for a little more impact.
