Subwoofer doesn't hit when balance is turned to right side

I have an Orion 2400 powering a sa-12 and when I put in just the left rca cable it will hit really hard. Then i can plug in both and it hits kinda hard. Then I can put in just the right and doesn't hit. I noticed this when I turned my balance on my stereo to right side and it wouldn't hit. Is this normal? And sometimes it will hit a lot harder than other times so I suspect some kind of short. What do you guys think?

could just be bad rca.. depends how it's wired do u have loc or direct to hu?

try a new rca...

also try the aux to y splitter phone direct to amp test to narrow it down to either head unit or amp/connection issues.

Do a continuity test on the suspect rca, before you going digging it all up.

Put the phone down and DRIVE!!
