Subwoofer decision

I have a 2004 gto with 7 cubic feet of trunk space. Not sure if you guys know, but the gas tank takes up a large portion of the trunk. I measured and it's depth is about 20" and the width is around 50". I really want a 13w7 but the jl box dimensions (ported) will bring it to 16.5" depth. Now will this seriously hurt sound due to only 3.5" of clearance between the port hole and the back of the trunk? Should I forget the 13w7 and go for something else? I'm trying to decide on this one because I don't want to lose sound quality when I'm spending some major $$$.

how about the box size? You think I could get a box that would sound good and fit in the trunk?

yup or you could run some idmaxes or idqs ib but then ur output would drop.

Yea, I definitely wanna stick with the 10w7's. I just hope the trunk is big enough. I'm gonna have a 1000/1 and a 300/4 to stick somewhere as well. From what I've been reading, ported is the way to go with the w7's.
