Subwoofer decision

[Stronghold]

I have a question for you guys! These subs are going in a ford fusion(big trunk) but I can't decide! I can get these brand on a very very good deal!

1. Alpine type S

2.pioneer champion

3.jbl GT5

4. Kenwood (KFC)

They will be 12s and 4 of them. I'm having a hard time choosing!

Out of those choices I would personally choose the Alpine's. Consider JL Audio 12W0's as well.

jl w0 subs are cheap china made crap. at least get the w1 subs. way better for a minimal price difference.

If those were my only choices, I would buy the JBL subs. That said, there is very little price difference between the GT5 and GTO series and the latter are, in my opinion, a lot better subs. I've sold a number of them and have run them over powered by a lot with no problems.

how much is really cheap? Do you want loud as balls or just sound quality? Dont think you can fit 4 12s in a properly sized and dsigned ported box in a ford fusion. Are you buying random boxes are you designing a proper one?

You'll be much louder going with 3 decent quality 12s rather then cramming stuff in and throwing them in prefabs.
