subwoofer cutting out??

I don't see how it could be fried because it still playes just at higher volumes on heavy songs it cuts out

If it cuts out only on heavy songs You prolly mean low bass. Alot of people who have voltage issues low bass is when it will cut off. Must pull more current than higher hz tones.

Anything that has constant bass like rap song it will cut out then come back on then cut out an come back on. Stuff like Pitney an some reggae its fine though

Yea def not ok. Find out what/why that fuse holder melted and fix it ...then get ur electrical in check... i used to have a bc3500 and had to put my stock alt back on 125a while my mechman was being repaired ..i had a 55ah duracell up front and 2 110ah dekas in the back and it was not a very happy healthy setup..start sacin pennies and pray the bc didnt fry

well I figured out the problem. First off the amp was mounted on the back wall of my extended cab truck behind the seats and it fell off. But changing the burnt wire (which was due to the heat sink melting on the fuse block) fixed the cutting out issue. But im definitely getting a new alt asap after everything you guys said. thanks again for all the help

You have nowhere near the electrical to handle that much power.
