Subwoofer box Slot port has a edge or lip

Excuse the wiring will fix just wanted to hear how It sounds, So I bought this subwoofer box from soundmobileworks and it sound good but I have 1 concern its that it has a edge at the bottom and top of the port about 3/4 inch, should I cut the edge of or just leave it thanks. Box specs are 2.0ft^3 slot port 32 hz

that much doesn't make a huge difference. Doesn't matter what you do. Cut it if you want. Don't cut it if you don't want to.
